well yeah I would obviously milk the warranty til it ends. But after that, things do get pricey pretty fast. You can opt for extended warranty if you'd like. Or just take that part and upgrade it like I.

Yeah, I'm the stupid one...my brother reminded me it was 36 not 63. Guess I'm dyslexic. All I clearly remember is it was a lot of TSBs.

I had my car since last June with 20 miles on it. Only problem I had was a little tail light condensation, but was replaced the next day.

Do you live in a bubble too?

I know we are just beta testing the car, but imagine this, warranty expires in 3 year(most people don't buy extra warranty) so if your car runs fine the first 3 year or 36000 miles. and then on the 36001 miles everything fails and may people have it before the warranty expire, but not your, then you either wait for recalls(if theres one) or pay it out of your pocket(assuming it's CEL that you'll need to replace the engine). And no I don't have any big issue like many people say, but what if it does happen. beside I only like this car because it's SUBARU the downside is that it built with TOYOTA.... as of now theres a new problem with the DI. imagine how much it would cost you after the warranty??

Powertrain warranty is 5 years, 60k miles. Just enjoy the car and don't worry about it so much.

I might trade mine in/sell depending if they come out with an STi version or depending how the new WRX is. Otherwise my plan is to keep it for 12 years, then give it to my son as his first car. I'm averaging 4k/yr mileage (I drive 2 cars), so after 12 years, the car will be super low mileage still. But I'm also power hungry - and a 300hp car that handled as nicely, looked as good, and got same fuel economy might win me over.

I originally planned to sell my '03 WRX instead and upgrade that to the next 300hp WRX, but I need a mall car/loaner/etc I can park and not worry about.

Btw - 11 1/2 months on my BRZ, no trips to dealer. Then again, 3,600 miles, so it's still young. Had crickets but they seem to have gone away? Tail lights - haven't noticed. No rattles or other issues and even the GPS worked last time I tried it.

Actually had a strange issue - I needed a pair of pliers to pull out an Apple brand USB cable from the port in the car! Just super tight and wouldn't budge otherwise. Crazy!

I have heard from a documentary that in a single ceramic spacecraft, at LEAST 10,000 parts will fail. You don't see those getting traded in

Every car has some sort of issues, that's just life. You have to lay them all out and and decide if your willing to deal with those issues. If you make it to 36,000 miles there is a relatively low chance something big is going to happen.
