that's what we get for buying a brand new model car. We're guinea pigs or test rats to see how the car will hold up/what issues will come up. They'll correct it all in the future models and probably come out with a TSB for our cars as well.

I see no point in trading it in.

The way I see it, if one thing fails, it's an opportunity to upgrade it.

I've had no issues that would make me think of trading it in. I'd like to hear this laundry list.

I take it he's not having any. Just scared that he'll get one of the issues himself

In that case, there are TONS of members who have no issues, like myself. So why would you trade in a car because you anticipate problems? That's just stupidity. I can understand if you have had multiple issues that have kept your car at the dealer longer than you've owned it, but that is simply not the case with 99% of owners.

Yeah, I agree with you. You would lose thousands of dollars on a trade-in, seems like a very hasty decision. Every car has issues.

I completely agree with you 100%

If you're that worried about issues you may have with a car, you should just be a pedestrian. Barefoot, of course, because I've heard that people have had issues with shoes.

If I could, I would.

I think the build date on our cars has a lot to do with the "issues" encountered. I'm sure as problems became known corrective measures were taken to eliminate or minimize the problems. I know my FR-S was built in August 2012 and the only issue I've had was the rattle from the package shelf area.
