I'm perfectly calm, just offering extra insight. I should have said mentioned, not compared. My bad. I fixed it .

No sweat man, I know you mean well. I just don't have the typing or rhetoric skills to replace your lost debate partner.

Sorry but this whole thread is a bit ridiculous. Just find a kit you like and contact the shop/manufacturer and ask questions. Make a decision. Yay.

I think the thread is about what kit to go with best for not having to worry about anything breaking, coming loose, or just overall maintenance.. Ive talked with some about sc vs turbo and learned how turbo has lots of maintenance to take care of daily. I feel like if i had the money i'd go with sc..

What maintenance daily?

In all honesty, they both have pros and cons. It comes out about equal, with individual kits having variances to the major deciding factors.

Pick your power band and delivery, then pick a kit of that type.

I don't have great knowledge about installing FI kits but I'm passionate about working on my car considering this is my first official car I guess I'm willing to take the plunge and learn as I hopefully install my turbo kit, with that being staid that's the reason I want the avo kit because of its simplicity to install, but I'm looking for high HP. What are your thoughts guys ?

  • Installed a CAI and axleback exhaust.
  • Changed the oil of family cars more than a dozen times.
  • Rotated the tires of an old car.

Do you think I am ready to install a turbo/supercharger kit by my own? Or should I hire a pro?
Anyone can install a kit if they know what yo do, aka follow the instructions, the most important part is doing it slowly and with a second set of eyes for verification. Don't bring alcohol into the mix and work during the day if you can.

After its all installed, get a tune and work slowly into the power. Develop a safe tune with a solid relationship with your tuner and you'll be fine.

Any kit is reliable if it plays toward the strengths of the vehicle, enhances the short falls, and doesn't try to destroy the car with overzealous goals.

Just my 2 cents.

MY AVO TURBO IS PUSHING 9PSI ON 93.

Wrong, as long as you have fuel, you can go to about 15-16. I have hit 12 psi so far.

ANY kit on stock fueling would be pushing it past 8 psi on stock fuel system.
