Most reliable F/I kit?

My car is a daily. I cannot afford a lot of downtime. I want something that's really reliable (most important), easy to install and maintain. Not looking to be the fastest out there at all, just enough power to be in the Honda S2000 range (240-ish WHP).

OmarGC 05-10-2013 12:52 AM

Oh no... in before the lock.

official_george 05-10-2013 12:59 AM

What lock?

deucethemoose 05-10-2013 01:11 AM

Not sure if serious....

Given the low boost levels and no need for major supporting mods like exhaust and fuel system I would say AVO.

Kind of early to tell who's turbo kit is most "reliable".

Pure Automotive 05-10-2013 01:17 AM

Vortech stage 1 is the most streetable and closest to stock.
Full blown is the best power to cost ratio in my opinion and has proven to be reliable thus far.

Vortech... Stable boost from a good company.

Fa20club.com turbo kit

6,000 miles++ still going hard !!!!

official_george 05-10-2013 01:33 AM

Thanks guys, but no, I'm not trolling. Is the Vortech something I can install by myself? I know basic stuff, oil change, tire rotations, installed a CAI and axleback exhaust on my other car before, and I've done my fair share of headlight retrofits before.

Also, is the EcuTek cable worth getting? Or should I just send my ECU?

Supercharger is your best bet for reliability. HKS, Vortech, and a few other off the shelf kit. I like the Rotex supercharger then centrifugal more. We hit 300whp with our HKS on different type of gas but we feel that with a few changes we hope to hit it on pump gas.
