Most of the complainers are simply trying to justify their purchase of the standard FRS or BRZ. Toot your horn all you want, but each and every one of these special edition FRS will be sold. If I was in the position to buy one of these cars, I would want the 10 Series FRS.

i like how they're charging the same price as a brz limited when they're not giving you the leather/alcantara heated seats and the navigation probably won't come standard (standard touch screen system as mentioned at the unveiling)

How much does a entry level 370z cost? This car is supposed to be cheap sports car. Same thing I told the dealership with their mark up crap.

How come the illuminating shift knobs are only available on the A/T models?

They probably want more people to order the A/T's (which are marked up in price)...

Interesting, is there anything else besides that the M/T wont get? I read about illuminating panels on a previous post but I'm not sure what that is.

well I hope I'm not making an ass of myself but basicly each JDM head light (not sure if they come in a pair) costs a 1000 so doing the math... its about the same price as you would have paid for FR-S plus the headlights bought after. Also there are some unwanted goodies, but then if you buy it sell it later keep it in good condition it'd sell for alot since only 2-3k of these are being made? its not a bad investment, but its opinionated. Call me stupid but i would have bought it and repainted it the color i desire and done off with what i wanted with it

Everybody is such a car critic these days. These are the same guys that enjoyed orange supras and yellow civics in the early 2000's. Now "JDM/sleepers" are the new "clean", it's all relative really. Cars are really no different than clothes, trends come and go. Who knows maybe in a few years all cars will have solar shift knobs. If enough people think it's cool you probably will too. Remember altezza lights, anybody? Anyway back to the topic, 2-3k more for HIDs, dual climate, keyless start and some type of new bespoke isn't bad. It's still going to be cheaper than a limited brz w/dealer markup. Most limited BRZ's (excluding VIP pricing) in my area are going for 29-30k pretax. 27,500 isn't bad at all.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the shift pattern not being labeled on the knob. Don't quote me on this, but I thought that was regulated somehow.
