It wouldn't surprise me if the laminova was a big part of the hold up. They don't always work so great due to airflow disruption. Just tuning and releasing the stage 1 is a good idea. Bring that thing out!

no intercooler

and John was the major problem.

I got them hooked up with a fantastic tuner who doesn't tease, imply, BS, suggest, implicate, or fabricate. He just tunes safe strong and reliable.

I have had 200 RELIABLE whp on E-85 from bill for the last 3 months and 158 ftlbs tq...FROM 4200 on up....Dead flat linear tq curve its like driving my diesel dodge...other competitors are on their 3rd motor trying to keep up...
now think of what 0.6 more BAR will do for the at the ground Hp.. They want a car to test the track limits with e-85.. We are the fastest NA (and even hold some of the fastest track times NA or FI) in our area.. We are also not your usual customer. So we will test the NON-intercooled E-85 potential for this car. STAY TUNED..

They don't have a big forum presence.

That being said, they are extremely friendly, excited for this application to be in the hands of community members, and open about the progress of the kit when talking to them in person.

Maybe @robispec will give a glimpse into what this kit feels like as he got to drive the innovate car on the track.

I did get a ride in @jdzumwalt 's vortech'd 86 and .... I am sold on FI. This car with 20-30% more torque is just perfect. I have video of him pulling away hard from me on the straights I can upload later. It's awesome!
Simple glimpse. more power everywhere. Power delivery is just like the NA car but you have 30-50 more ftlbs (butt dyno) and no penalty if you need to short shift.

J's car close but has the power drop down low and the "better" power up higher...He can chime in if he wants...(and he drove my car too so he can rat me out if he wants too lol ).

I'm very interested in the power delivery of this kit compared to a Vortech/HKS type kit. I'm familiar with the differences in the two style of superchargers but not familiar with how they mesh with a small displacement engine. I've only experienced SC V8's so there is more natural torque.

Here is a (sloppy as we were still learning this track) lap around Chuckwalla Valley Raceway following the vortech supercharged 86. You can get a feel for its power as it accelerates out of corners and anywhere it is straight.

Silver car is supercharged. My car is NA stock motor. My tires are significantly better than his and traffic was holding us up so don't take this video too seriously. The only thing it shows is acceleration differences.

Agreed. Hopefully it sparks some interest for me if it's released.

Both were there and both were tracked with. =) It was a good day. Unfortunately no video of the innovate car from my POV. It was being driven in other run groups.
