Sounded good. I approve. It'll probably sound even better while driving. I'm not a big fan of judging exhausts by neutral freerevs because cars always sound different under load.

LOL! No way it will be that close to the tC

More like $21999...so under $22k

But if its under $21k and we can add whatever options we like...Scion will have a big hit on their hands.

You do realize nearly all new cars since 2005 come with an EDR (Event Data Recorder) already pre-installed. They have been common in cars since the early 2000's so unless you have a car from 2000 or older you very possibly could have an EDR. Only recently (2009 I think) did the NTSB require that vehicle manufacturer's disclose in the owners manual that an EDR exists in a person's vehicle, before that, they didn't have to tell you. My 2006 Tacoma has one...and it's not mentioned in the owners manual at all. I bet your Hyundai Tiburon has one too...

Secondly all that Scion is doing is putting in a slightly more sophisticated EDR with GPS technology and allowing anyone to download the data and use it in GT5. The police would have to talk to Sony, the people who MAKE Gran Turismo 5 for the codec to even decode the GT5 file into useable data, which is unlikely to happen as the game save is probably in a very proprietary type of data encryption. Not only that but it's unlikely that the GT5 function records data ALL THE TIME, only when you tell it to ad you are on a track that exists in GT5.

Thirdly, in the USA it takes a court order to even allow police to access the data from your cars EDR, and even then the police cannot access the EDR directly, the EDR must be physically sent to the vehicle manufacturer to be decoded and then sent back to the police as evidence. Very rarely is this EVER done, almost never, the only time it is commonly done is in Vehicular Homicide/Manslaughter cases as additional evidence to charging a person with the crime they committed. I'm sorry...but if you killed someone with your vehicle...then you by all accounts deserve to have your EDR read and analyzed. If you were doing 50mph down a crowded street and took out a pedestrian...the court deserves to know that and try you accordingly.

So quit with the conspiracy talk.

Back to OT: That Greddy sounds nice...I will prolly get one

He's a business man. Money is the puppeteer of all business men.
if only you guys actually met him. he's a pretty down to earth guy who's very interested in the satisfaction of Scion enthusiasts and customers. at the premiere he was going out of his way to greet and converse with everyone whether they were journalists, existing customers, whoever. we asked him so many stinkin' questions throughout the whole night and he was as professional and personable as the very best out there. Hollis is the right guy for the job and gets my respect. :happy0180: actually, at one point before taking a picture with him that night i asked "you've gotta be tired from standing here taking questions from everyone!?!?" his reply with a smile, "hey, this is my job!"
