Would you post a video of the exhaust sound? I have been looking at P&L headers + Perrin or P&L header back exhaust. Hearing it will help me decide.

I will say as MILD MANNERED as it sounds the first thing I wondered was how it would sound uncatted? And that extra 5Hp !

I have a Sennheiser 8060 mic that I could use to get the sound. Maybe this weekend.

Just had the P&L coated and catted header installed and tuned by Jorge and WOW.

A few things:

1. TQ dip is gone.
2. No exhaust leaks.
3. Flat flanges. ( not all brands have this)
4. top end if vastly improved
5. This will prolong my SC order.
6. NO EXTRA sound from header up front. Exhaust note is barely louder.

Dyno sheet to come shortly, waiting for IAG to send it to me.

Very happy with this mod. Makes my 4.55 final drive feel COMPLETE.

really wanna see that dyno sheet.... While i do want more torque across the board and I know this will flatten the dip... I mainly want 5k and up power for the track and deeper revs. Right now I peak at 7,000 pushing that to 7500 would make a nice difference

I have the unresonated perrin so its louder than it needs to be, but it flows oh so nice, and pulls great.
If I was gonna daily drive it, I suppose it would be fine if I was not in stop and go traffic, its gonna be just fine with a smallish 4x18x2.5" resonator, I may juist add this to my existing setup, or try a perrin resonated pipe. That woukld make it just fine for daily use. will keep you posted

but really if your adding aheader, the best performance gains are how I have it, no resonators and 2nd cat totally takes the edge off, except btwn 3500-4000

Nothing give a headache, but the sound is definitely race car, its a header guys, what do you expect? the pull you get in lower rpms, the total hooked into my brain using my spinal cord throttle response is great, as you take steps to quiet it down, you will be taking away that eagerness, that willingness, to some degree, I say try it as I have it, the perrin options for res and non res and this header and you can choose between tame and wild

I think a 12" or 18" resonator will do the trick. Just wanted to clarify whats fine around town is a bit more to deal with on an extended drive

I try and not hurt a vendor's hopes of selling an item, but like to maintain my level of candor so just wanting to set the expectations: if you have a loud exhaust note it will get about twice as loud with a header, thats my take on it

power levels are awesome on the track just as it is, so thast something to think about, I want as little resonator as needed, but I feel after my 4hrs + drive today that I want one to spend that kind of time in the cabin

that said, no way in hell I am putting the stock one back on

He did go out and buy an 18" vibrant off amazon for $67 and had it welded on by a local shop, and says it sounds perfect now.

Yeah today I took the SUPER LONG way to work. Short shifting like a big block ! LOL. Just some nice 2-4k pulls, very casual like I had a 2.8 stroker in my shit !

I have the same intake/exhaust as you, with exception of using the Perrin Drop in and Intake Tube. If you can make that recording this weekend you may just push me over the edge and i will pull the trigger on joining the groupbuy. Ive got my fingers crossed.

From what you have described though the sound and performance seem excellent. Sooo effing excited

Every tuner here will be able to retune for a header. I've run visconti and fa20club with mine.

Quick question. If i am correct, these headers are Vband with their fitment. I have ordered a Milltek exhaust which are slip joints. Will there be a fitment issue between the two?
