Gotta this thread...
DIY rooting is in my root thread

I don't want to seem like I'm harrassing/nagging you with these questions spreadout on different threads but how do you feel with this new HU (Discussed towards the end of this thread for those who don't stalk 2ForMe like I do hahaha : http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...php?p=860564)? Do you prefer your "new" TUN21A by tradesolution over the Ca-Fi knockoff? Without going into details like you did for Adayo vs Ca-Fi, could you say what each seems to do better than the other & what you enjoyed/prefered from each performance wise? What seemed appealing to you in the TUN21A?

It's no problem. The TUN21A is the ca-fi knockoff with a capacitive screen. That's literally the only difference.

Between the Adayo, Ca-Fi, and TUN21A knockoff.... I'd take the knockoff.

1) It's less than half the price.
2) It can do Torque with root...
3) It HAS ROOT.
4) It has dedicated >> and << buttons for skipping through songs.

Now, the Ca-Fi does have it's advantages over the TUN21A

1) It has USB OBD2 capability... (I'm trying to see if I can get that on the knockoff).
2) The illumination is red/green. (Knockoff is blue)
3) The music/fm/ipod apps are nicer (I'm working on rewriting the knockoff apps with a better interface).
4) The in unit amp may or may not be better. I used both with an external amp, so they sounded identical for me.

I can't find a link to it on eBay. Haven't tried for Amazon. Here's the link to the supplier's website with full description.

TUN21A: http://www.tradesolution.hk/e/ptxweb...duct/1265.html

Bad review at the end is most likely about a similar product (TUN22A)

^ That was another model. The TUN21A is capacitive. Just look at his other thread for his posts and you'll find a few where 2forme constantly confirms that it's a capacitive: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=916278

@2forme ... can you check out a radio for me and tell me what you think. Its a jvc, I know they arent the best, but I have had lots of luck with jvc and no complaints, nothing bad ever happened with their head units. Was looking at the KW-NSX700 with mirrorlink capabilities... Can you check out the stats and let me know what you think?

Do you have a mirrorlink compatible phone?

I have the Samsung galaxy s3. Crutchfield says it works with this phone. But I figured you could look at the specs of the radio and give me more insight than Crutchfield.

Well I don't have any experience with the MirrorLink, personally. As far as I know, it only works with a very select few handsets (GS3, Sony Z, and a few nokia's).

Let me ask you this... What do you ultimately want out of a unit?
