I'm interested in seeing the 20k+ miles results. In my eyes most boosted cars are in the "baby stage."
@2forme

What drive train issues did you have??

I was told by perrin that they've seen cases of DI injector seals going under pressure of boost.

The whole purpose of this thread is to indicate how reliable current kits are and what issues people are having if there are any. Or what issues they did have that were resolved. On the poll you clicked drive train issues. Did you have drivetrain issues? This poll isn't about hearsay.

NP! In my eyes it doesn't matter to me if SC or Turbo people include themselves in the pull because it will be added into the first page of what kit they have and what the issue was. So lets include supercharges into this.

@shu5892001 doesn't look like you have a turbo kit. Please do not join into the poll unless you have a kit. (false blown engine vote)

I apologize for not stating clearly, u can disregard what I voted

I know there is at least one case of blown engine on the forum, I think it was FRS300. I don't want people to make the false assumption that no one ever had issues with turbo kit

Yes, but if you vote for him, then he votes, and then somebody else votes for him, then it looks like there is 3 blown engines when there is only one.

can you change the sorting for the amount of mileage done? And also separate into mileage, issues with the most significant at the top of each section?

i e. Higher mileage is more significant but it is current wedged in the middle..

At what boost level were the DI seals failing? How would you know they are leaking and what are the consequences - running lean?
You have to take off the intake manifold to access and replace the DI seals correct?

Whose kit do you have? or did I miss that?

IIRC, the DI seals are just teflon and molded to the injector. I think that might mean the injector would need to be replaced? It could happen during tuning if something is off enough (like getting a base tune). I don't recall what pressure level.

Question: I've never owned a Turbo or supercharged car before (not even from the factory). Is there any extra maintenance over running NA to avoid issues?
