Basically cat back is the back half of the car, mid pipe is front half(not including headers). So now I've replaced everything except the headers.

It is a little confusing since there is a cat in the stock midpipe as well as the headers. The term "cat back" refers to the one in the midpipe.
Hmm i think its called an Front/ Over pipe combo not Mid/front pipe. when you mentioned the front pipe was hard to install i think that was the over pipe because thats where it gets connected to the Header.
while the part from the front to the axle is the Mid pipe and the back is axle back

It seems like Borla has a different naming scheme to what you normally see. They probably call the midpipe (as seen on the following diagram, Cat > Muffler) a downpipe since they call the Over pipe/Front pipe a midpipe?

The problem is the RevWorks collector is a 2.5". You will be bolting up a 2.25" pipe to their header. This can cause issues with flow and overall power.

You are correct, the front pipe and over pipe is what i just installed. From the factory it comes in two pieces, from borla its just one.

Would that drop be noticeable? I means its only dropping .25 of a inch.

To be honest, I am not sure. There is a HUGE thread about it on S2ki. I had a 70mm test pipe on my S2k running stock exhaust which is 60mm, and I ended up switching to a matching one. I can't say I felt a huge difference, but it was such a small power adder to begin with...

http://www.badassperformance.com/mtech/flow101.html Look at figure 3

I think the main issue is it will cause unwanted back pressure.

I know this thread is really old but I'm installing this same over-pipe & front-pipe combo on my car and was trying to determine if you are supposed to use the donut gasket. The Borla front-pipe has a bulge on the end that connects to the mid-pipe. I'm not sure if this eliminates the need for the donut gasket?

this is the bulge I'm referring to:
