Borla Catless Midpipe?

I came across this piece yesterday. Supposedly they were just released yesterday. Its the Borla 60541 cat delete mid pipe, the blog said it was 6.7lbs and should be good for a few HP. Think I might pick one up here to go with my borla catback and future headers.

Thoughts? Is it gonna throw a CEL?

I didn't have a cat on my stock mid pipe only a resonator.

he is talking about the front pipe. the front pipe has both a 2ndary cat and a funky looking muffler in it. the midpipe is already replaced with his borla catback.

to the OP, if you remove all the cats and don't at least run a resonated front pipe... it is going to be loud and raspy as heck.

That pic is of Borla's midpipe. The front pipe would need a hanger to match the OEM front pipe, wouldn't be that long and needs to have a bend up too meet the overpipe.

I actually think it might be the front pipe and over pipe combined. The donut gasket looks like it fits onto this pipe like the stock front pipe. Plus as was stated earlier their catback already replaces the stock midpipe.

I think you are correct. If you look at ft86speedfactory's website, it lists front pipes and over pipes as the same part.

once you go header, the 2 cats make it liveable, without that 2nd cat, its gonna be track car loud

Just an FYI for anybody thinking about getting this pipe. According to ft86speedfactory, borla is about 3 weeks out from shipping.

is anyone running high flow cat or cat-less on a stock exhaust?

There wouldn't really be much benefit from that, so i doubt it. You might see 1hp if youre lucky.
