eh, id much rather drive my car and have the parts shipped in on a completely new cam that doesn't need the stock one for "regrind"... To me, regrinded cams = ummm blah.

What is allowing this motor to rev that high (and make power up there)? Is this a built bottom and built head?

Different cam for sure, possibly some head work.

Im pretty sure you can count built bottom end in, but not so sure about the topend... Maybe some headwork, but i wouldn't count on too much if at all.

Bottom end is obviously built, they wouldn't run 20 psi on 93 with the stock 12.5:1 compression without retarding timing.

Top end is also defiantly built because they are revving it to 9k while breaking the motor in lmao.

For sure, probably a stock regrind, just because they were taking everything apart anyway. Unless cams are almost here and Don was a tester.

From what i've heard a regrind is comparable in cost to a brand new set of cams, especially if the company offers a core charge. Some local shops do some don't. Quite interested in the verdict.

He's just been busy building new stuff for the BRZ.

His vendor account didn't auto renew

I'm sure he'll chime in when I head back home
