This comes up in each of our threads, but we never accept payment or expect any sort of commitment until we have a real product and test results to share. We'll start a list of interested parties a few weeks before then, but all that list does is ensure that you have the opportunity to buy the brace at a price that's typically well below retail.

I'm down for the brace regardless, and throw a MC brace into my order while you're at it.

Bahahahaha, but then it wouldn't be as rewarding to see those same loyal customers (such as yourself) continually express your support! I need something to make my day sometimes.

I like the idea, but i seriously doubt we'll offer it. We sell that paint, so I'll definitely be spraying one just for shiggles. Who knows, maybe it turns out to be a special edition thing? But most likely, it'll be like Orbital says with the stripper. I've also heard that in many cases Easy Off Oven Cleaner will strip some powder coats, but I haven't tried it myself. We can't sell the bar unfinished though, because then we would have unfinished bars here starting to rust, weird special orders, etc.

Thanks man, we really appreciate that, and I promise we're working as hard as we can to release the right brace in a timely fashion. Most important though, is that trust! It literally makes my day to hear that.

We're still working hard here, and I'll keep you updated as soon as we can drop a little deflection testing video.

Well poop. Fine then, I'll make my own bar! With blackjack! And hoo-ah who am I kidding I'm lazy as hell.

I've done powdercoat stripping before and it's a pain. You sell CBR powder?

I kept wondering if OE was really a stripper...now we know.

Any reason you can't just sand/prime/paint over the powdercoat? I did this on some wheels recently, but after painting two I took them in for powder anyway so I don't know how well it would last.

I guess maybe the texture would be hard to sand if it's really coarse.

A) As mentioned before, I'm really lazy, and it's a decent bit of work to do it properly.
B) Powder is (generally) much, much higher quality paint than anything that comes in a can. Especially on a stress part that is going to be flexing constantly, powder will hold up much better.

Either way, I ordered a can from @GrimmSpeed just to play around with it and see how it holds on up on some engine trim and such. I'm still not convinced the bar will make a big enough difference to warrant me getting one, so I'm partially looking for an excuse (More CBR in my engine bay? Sure, why not.). But we'll see.

Sorry, I wasn't questioning your reasoning for wanting it orderable that way. I just meant why bother using paint stripper to remove existing powder if you do decide to paint with spray? I see now you were originally asking about CBR powder.

Might as well CBR the firewall braces, too. And MC brace if you have one. Aaaaand theeennnn....
