Also i might go and give light painting awhirl this weekend. I have had a nice LED setup sitting in the back seat of my car for a while now, but i haven't gotten the chance to try to make a real photo. I'll probably take the fuji out with me and see if i can find a place to get a nice bit of bokeh backdrop. Your welcome to come join I'll probably shoot near S mountain (not to be confused with south mountain) just up the street a few blocks off the 51.

Agreed! I'd like to be there to just learn . When you do have time to do photo shoots what do you roughly charge if you don't mind me asking . You have amazing shots tho! Love the alone alley shot.

I can pm you what I typically charge for a feature car in a magazine. Typically feature cars run me 6-8hrs photo taking & edit time. I typically charge magazines a flat rate per feature. I do get a little spendy at times but its because the equipment alone is quite expensive to lug around. And sometimes people at the scene do stupid things like trip on power cords and knock over my lights... Thinks break a lot more than you expect when you cary as much equip as i do for a shoot lol.

Doing a 1-3 "quality" shots where i pre-plan a location & know exactly what equip i need makes it easier on me and lowers my chance of damaged equipment (or stolen for that!).

Yes please do so. We can talk thru PM on what exactly I'm looking for. Car is def not ready for a mag and what not but I know @Supermassive he might be interested in that much of a feature.

But i figured just hit downtown, walk around for 10-15min, shoot a bit, walk around a bit... and head home an hour later.

And I think you live right next to me... lol What body do you shoot with?
What did you do to your leg. Your starting to sound like me, two broken legs and an arm. 26 screws in my ankle, plates in arms and legs, was in a wheel chair for almost a year then had to learn to walk again. Its amazing how the body forgets and you lose muscle....climbing rocks without ropes=bad.

I shoot with a d90. Are you in tempe?

Before my wreck i was always out and about doing "test" shots and trying out new techniques. When i do this i typically only produce 1-3 photos in a set (the hyundai above was a test shot of a new editing method & lighting method). You guys are more than welcome to join in or just hit me up if you feel like shooting. If you guys are sporting canon I have plenty of equip you can tinker with as long as you can stand by my strict break it - bought it policy.

Oh I thought you commented one day about living off osborn & central! Because I live pretty much off osborn & central. I guess I completely misunderstood.

And my accident? I used to daily drive a motorcycle (on and off for a large chunk of the last 5-6 years) and its a complicated scenario I can explain one of these days at a meet or something; but basically... An old man ran my ass over on the 101

Broke my foot in 5 places, fractured my other ankle, busted my knee, lost lots of skin (I still have a nice mark on my left knee), fractured my hand, wrist, collar bone, fucked up parts of my neck. Tore some misc tissue in left & right shoulders. Lost a bit of skin on my right forearm, and just misc scars & scrapes all over. I was in a wheel chair amazingly for only about 2 months, and then had to re-learn to walk & have been doing at home physical therapy for the past 6 months or so now Being fat & having to rebuild my body = cardio is a BITCH! lol I get worn out so quick! i am sure you know EXACTLY what i am talking about. I remember the first time i went to the grocery store and i picked up 2-3 items and by the time i got back to the car i had a full blown sweat going lol.

I cant wait to get back on two damn wheels. Too bad i bought this damn 86 though, now i want to tinker with it and that slows me down on building another bike!

Ouch, that is a hell of an accident. I'm suprised I survived all my years of riding in this town. Was hit on the right side of the bike once by a truck pulling out. He did 5k damage to the bike but somehow I kept the bike up and was untouched.

My last bike I built from the ground up(including the frame hand bent) had a seat height of 12 inches, jockey shift, suicide clutch and linked brakes only on the right pedal. It was a blast and turned heads everywhere. Only bike I have ever owned that people at stop lights would get out of their cars to take pictures of. Lol

I work at osborn and central but live in tempe.

Wow man, thats crazy! I've been riding for about 3 years now and havent gone down yet. its awesome to see you still want to ride. Many times after one has wrecked they will be doneski's with riding. I applaud you. I hope if I ever go down, I will still be able to get up afterwards. It's a scary hobby but boy is it addicting. I will say the bike and the 86 don't get along much. I've been so busy with the car that I have put off the bike for awhile. Have to start riding more.

There are two types of riders: Those that have crashed, and those that will. Sooner or later, someone will turn left in front of you and there's never enough room when you really need it.

Ahhhhh yeah you work like... 1/4 mile from my place And you and me may need to get a beer... 2 bikes ago i had a chopped up XS650 rigid. Absolutely loved it, and i miss wrenching on it! I know it was pretty cookie cutter but I did what I liked to it and really didn't care about being unique etc.

As for custom... I can def hold a wrench when needed. Here is a pic of my friend helping me with some measurements while I was finishing the fabrication on my frame.

Though you having a hand bent frame WHEW thats pretty legit man! I would love to see some pics!

Ive just always had the mindset that you shouldn't be riding unless you are okay with the penalties of going down. It can and will happen in everyones life that rides as much as me. People get in car accidents all the time, bikes are just the same. Sure there were things i could have done to avoid my wreck, im not going to avoid that. And honestly if I wasn't in my summer riding gear i would have taken a cab home afterwards. I learned my lesson and wont leave my riding boots in my friends car ever again Proper riding gear makes all of the difference. That and not being a casual "seasonal" rider helps. Seasonal riders dont get to the point of strong habits as daily riders.

Next time around im buying some better boots for sure. HAHA It ain't worth wearing normal shoes when you go down!!

This is why I wear all of my gear (boots and all) ALL the time. There have been too many people that come back saying the exact same thing you do. I learn from you guys and I will always wear all of my gear. Too many "squid" drivers out there. Not sure what they are trying to prove.
