This was my thinking.

It was nice to meet everyone. It's 4:30 am (Yawn) and I just walked in the door. Looking forward to some pics. Paul, thanks again for the food and a place to wash the bugs off my car.

Sticker Installation Tutorial

Hi Guys,
Here's a quick tutorial on installing the club stickers:

You will need: masking tape, credit card, measuring tape.
  • I have laid out a horizontal and vertical line on the front film of the stickers. This is to help level and centre it, so you don't rely on the cut of the decal for levelness. The vertical line is the actual centre of the decal.

  • These stickers are easiest to install as a dry application, not wet.
  • Make sure the area you are applying to is clean!
  • Locate your placement on the vehicle. I recommend putting some masking tape around the area so you can locate your centre and make your pencil marks on the tape.
  • Lay a strip of masking tape over the decal so it overlaps half of the long edge (top or bottom, your choice) and the other half will stick to the car.

  • Without removing the backer yet, tape your decal to the car in the position desired and adjust the positioning as necessary.
  • When happy with the final location, simply hinge up your decal and remove the backer paper that under the decal.
  • The following step will now apply the decal to your car, so gently hinge back down into position as you squeegee against it with your credit card from top down (assuming your masking tape strip is on the top) and then from centre out.
  • Press against the vinyl with your fingers so that all edges are well adhered to the surface.
  • Last step is to peel back the front film. You must make sure to peel it away on a slight angle but while still pressing against the surface. Do not pull away from the car but against it (see photo below). Do this part slowly and watch for any vinyl edges that try to come off as you peel away the film. You can use your credit card to press any corners back down that may try to lift off.

  • Success!

Hi Guys,
Fantastic turnout last night, the 86'ers represented!!
Thanks to Chris for the trek down to meet up.

Great to meet you all, hopefully everyone who wanted stickers got some.

I do have some stickers still reserved for a few of you:
  • Normancw (1)
  • GodDamage (2)

Sorry I couldn't make it!
Next one for sure - Andre, please reserve 2 decals for me, I'll be keeping one and giving one to the sister for her portfolio.
