You'll see when I tune mine, plus I don't like the clunky stock airbox.

Nice, had the typhoon on my RSX-S and loved it. If i hadn't already gotten the Takeda intake i would jump on this. I loved the sound it made when i turned off the car.

I noticed that myself.... Then bought the drop-in filter. Should be here in a few days.

I'm curious about fuel trims without tune.

So incase anyone was wondering. I slapped this video together really quick. I have a unichip installed that was tuned for stock (as in no mods). I didn't know that I would have a good deal from a friend so I said heck why not grab the intake. Did a few base runs with the unichip maps on mild and a few on the more aggressive map. Then of course with the intake. Well here's the results. The intake gives it a really deep growl in the lower rpms. It really surprised me cause it was a whole different sounding car after just the intake.

+1 K&N drop-in and the Perrin hose is the setup I'm running and it is great!

So if I'm reading the results correctly you made:

Mild map no intake: 165/135
Aggressive map no intake: 173/141
Mild map w/intake: 171/131
Aggressive map w/intake: 178/144

However you should really have tested the car with the hood closed. I've seen pretty big differences in dynos for intakes, especially open element ones like the Typhoon with the hood open versus closed.

Yeah that's what we thought about when we were done lol. But we also did it with and without the fans on. I think we only pulled up the best results? I recorded the videos for just sound reference for people who wanted to hear the difference.

Is it just me, or does it look strikingly similar to the Injen but with the lid off?

MAF sensor location, box construction, and tubing size all look very similar. That being the case, I would watch for CELs over the next few months. It doesn't happen to everyone, but it does happen.

BTW: I am NOT hating on the Injen or the K&N! I have had the Injen for 3 months now with zero CELs or issues with it.

To be totally honest. It may look like the injen intake but after installing it, the box is way different. Dunno how to explain it. But so far no CEL.

Haha alright so here's my follow up review then. Still no CEL'S. Nor is there any problems with the car. I have a manual transmission so I'm not sure if it will be different for automatic. The car seems to have adapted to the intake very well. It seems a lot smoother throughout tbe band now. It sounds dven better now. I still haven't seen the unichip map for the k&n map yet so I'm still waiting for that to do a second dyno run
