FYI, 950 has 8GB for GPS and 850 only 4GB, I don't know if it really matters.

Yes its possible but requires cutting the factory harness and splicing the wires into it. its not too difficult and there are tutorials.

also someone did do a DIY: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=8585

I followed it to install my headunit (avic x940bt, similar to the 950bh, minus the traffic, which is a seperate module on my model)

first install i did and it went painless following the guide. I didnt cut into the OEM usb ports, i ended up routing my usb / aux underneath and out the side of the center console. Makes for a much less cluttered HVAC area

Did you use the mic that comes with the HU? I saw there is a new mic comes with it, but can I use the stock mic for the new HU (maybe AVIC X950) for bluetooth (taking phone calls).

Not sure, i remember someone was trying it back when i was looking up my install. I ran the mic in my A pillar and I never bothered to think about it afterwards,

I wouldve liked to done that as well or at least run the mic to the same area.
