In dash gauges

Was looking around on the internet and I came upon some interesting in dash Gauges that people might like for their FR-S.

ID4Motion
example: Thought this would be interesting because you can custom make your own setup and display to show you all the information that you would need plus make it look pretty snazzy. No idea about the pricing though.

Magden Automotive Software
Example: Same thing with this one but less digital customization. It will still show all the gauges you need.

Then there is always the HKS CAMP2

Just get Torque and a Nexus 7 tablet with an ELM bluetooth 14 pin adaptor for the OBD port.

Add in the right plug ins and youre done. Total cost less than $300.

That first one would be impossible to use. The second isn't much better, but it's more on the "usable" side. The purpose of gauges is to give the information you need at a quick glance, not amuse and impress 12 year olds.

They're user-configurable, so most likely after the novelty of all-out themes wears out, you'd end up with something more usable like

That would be pretty badass and LFA-like to have.

Think the only thing I would add to that would be a boost gauge once my turbo goes in.

I regret to inform you that the CAMP2 has been disconinued for quite some time now.

Supposedly, HKS is coming out with a new version, but it's really not much different than the Torque app based on the info I saw.

Blitz's R-Vit (similar to the CAMP2) is also discontinued, but replaced with the Touch Brain: http://www.blitzpowerusa.com/product...ouchbrain.html

i've done all sorts of digital mods in the past to my radio setups(ran a car computer for 3 years just because), and because of that, my love for analog gauges has really grown.. they are so simple and easy to see at a glance, it's hard to appreciate the simplicity until you try to go without..

I don't know. I haven't actually seen anyone use one before. It's not super clean and I'd be worried about someone breaking into the car just to steal it.

I honestly plan on buying a set of gauges out of a wreck, tearing out the analog speedometer and hard wiring in a high resolution android phone behind the bezel with custom torque set up, have it set up so I can do a share screen to another device via blue tooth or wifi (for customization once installed) and see how that works

Much like how all modern cars seem to have one colour LCD in there
