Don't worry, I am sure you can re-use them on me as soon as I have ordered/received mine... I am the worst DIY guy there is...
Haha! Wait until you see the manual... There really isn't anything to read

I'm using the metra kit. And mine is really all jacked up. I cut it up in a way you shouldn't cut it up and it's barely hanging on. I have them wedged in there as a temp solution until the second metra kit I ordered arrives so i can fix my errors. I really butchered it with a dremel

I'll take more pics when my new kit comes in. I'll try and show how to cut one of these up as I haven't seen anyone do it yet.

Are you serious?

Damn, think it's better that I order 2 units from the start then: one to screw up and learn, and hopefully another one that survives my welding skills!
(as I will replace the blue LED's into red ones...)

I seemed to get personalised emails from a guy named Gary.

Was about 1 1/2 weeks before I got my tacking number.

I ordered from their website rather than ebay so mine were emails rather than ebay messages.

Do you think the beatsonic or metra fits better?!

i am using the beatsonic kit now, and it is smaller than the metra kit and doesnt require any cutting to fit over the stock brackets, but it sits a little strange. Ill take some pictures in the morning when i can.

(also whenever anyone does in fact replace those blue leds with red ones, i certainly hope they do a DIY, cause id love to do it myself!)

Did you use the Beatsonic antenna adapter too?

I ordered one from Trade Solutions with the model of TUN21A and it is capacitive. Just sharing where I got mine from.

Cool, I got good service from Trade Solutions. They even helped source the ROM when I bricked my touch screen.

Tempted to get one of these - this is rooted and has developer ROM support?

What else would I need to get to make this solution plug n play?

I assume I'd need something along these lines:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1209582...t.html?tp=3121
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1207017...s.html?tp=2977
http://www.crutchfield.com/p_12040LX...r.html?tp=2569

That should cover the bezel, front speaker connection, rear speaker connection, and antenna - Don't think I'll need a harness for the 16-pin connector since that just provides a way to get an RCA video in for the reverse camera and a connection to the VSS (assuming the TUN21A already has an RCA video in and doesn't care about VSS). I'd still be missing a harness for the 28-pin SWC/MIC/AUX connector but I assume the TUN21A has its own connections for most of that but the Reverse Gear signal is on that harness as well which the reverse camera requires... Is there an aftermarket harness adapter for this thing as well?

I don't think that antenna adapter is the right one. This is what you need:

Well it has root. Not sure how deep XDA is going with it. It doesn't have a recovery as far as I know, so ROMS are limited to stock based. I haven't really seen a need for ICS and above in head unit form, yet.
