I'm surprised, the "hanging your wheel out the window" thread was closed, but not this one. Go figure.

I was disappointed too. I set off this morning counting all the people who posted negative comments about hanging your steering wheel out the window vs. all the people who thought it was fine (or even awesome). I didn't count a poster unless they were very specific in either camp.

The results???

Thought it was lame, dangerous, idiotic, unsafe, ect...
76

People who thought it was cool, ok, "ballin", ect...
6

I think the findings are pretty conclusive.

What has this car scene come to when people hang their steering wheel out of their window, while driving (unless it was a rig shot), and people actually think that's cool?

Oh yeah, it's the next logical move after riding on low offset wheels, with stretched tires, and dumping your car on the cheapest coilovers you could actually afford.

In before: I tried to do the whole ghost ride the whip thing, while still in the car, but forgot I was still in the car and wrecked my whip, yo. #swag

/bro fucking tastic fail

P.S. No bro, I'm not mad - I'm simply awed by the idiocracy that's in effect.

Sure, conclusive in the sense that it quantifies this behavior as "different" or "fairly unique" to those who do it or consider doing it. And quite a few teens/tweens want just that - do something "unique".
I'm sure we're gonna see these thread pop up more often, especially as used BRZ/FR-S's become available.

You're missing the point, and you're irresponsibility is showing.

There is a difference between style and behavior. Style is purely subjective and depends on taste. Unless overtly offensive, doesn't hurt anyone.

Behavior can directly or indirectly affect other people's lives and/or property. That is what you, and others like you are failing to understand. You have become so bent on "going against the grain" and "being unique" you are completely blind to the danger you pose to yourselves and others. Meanwhile, you will say anything to resist altering your behavior.

I know there is nothing that I, or anyone else can say to change your mind. Its youth, nothing more nothing less. I was there one day and inevitably, you'll grow up too whether you like it or not someday. If you survive long enough that is.

No hate here, and I am not joking around this time. I honestly, sincerely do wish you and your "friends" the best. Please do not become a statistic.

People are making a huge deal out of him doing a rig shot in a parking lot for no reason...but agreed @naikaidriver - If anyone thinks actually doing this in an uncontrolled environment (aka the pic on the highway) is cool or "unique", you have to be pretty stupid.

I just think some are taking this further than it has to.

Most likely the latter. If that's the case, my apologies but it did sound like you were defending that behavior.:happy0180:

Instead of voiding the safety aspects of the car with no airbag use, you may have bought the wrong car for your preferences. Might I suggest looking at some other cars with more room. If you find that the expense is too much, consider a used (and more spacious) vehicle.
