I've got the same problem as well , no idea how to find the power or ignition wire or where it is.. >< also would be keen not to have to go thru the firewall to put it in..

Ok I will try to help the best I can..for anything specific please feel free to PM me. When it comes to the wiring of this there are the 3 ways I listed in the DIY. The RED wire absolutely has to be connected to a power wire. This can be completed with the quick connects supplied in the package. Your goal here is to find a wire that has power when the car is on or power that can be toggled on and off.
Now that the RED wire is taken care of, by only connecting this wire the DRLs will stay on HIGH power CONSTANTLY when the power is activated. To have other options with this kit you have two other wires. The BLUE and the WHITE. Depending on which wire you use will depend on the option available.

yup thanks
ive hooked up my red wire into my existing foglight/drl wire, so my LEDs now come on when my old fog light/DRLs used to come on the ECU apparently can be configured to run the foglight/DRLs when the headlights are off, or also to run both when headlights are on or turned off - so im gonna c a dealer to keep them on all the time ![]() luckily because i have the GT Spec i dont need to find the ign/acc wire inside the cabin since the foglight wire is already in the engine bay where my old fog light/DRLs used to be! |

Ya know its actually funny. When i did this a second time around on another Members FRS he showed me that the glove box comes down by pressing in the sides. That helped me big time when seeing where i needed to go. If you ever need to go under there again try dropping the glove box.

Thanks! I was actually going to stop by there today but I forgot because it was so busy at work. I'll stop by tomorrow and have something to do over the weekend..
I was originally going 5000k before I bought these, but you think 4500k will match better? The DRL's actually looked a little blue to me but I'll have to look again. |

Thanks to this DIY, I got the DRL's hooked up. Really makes the front look more upmarket - the OEM halogen foggies sucked hairy bison balls.
Only one problem that I saw after the install was done - if I wanted to listen to the radio or connect the air compressor (from the tyre kit), then the DRL's stay on since the glovebox outlet turns on at ACC. Not too fussed since I don't listen to radio when parked but just a heads up to anyone thinking of tapping into the glovebox outlet. |

Very true...it wasnt a big deal to me either. Ive even sat in my car to listen to the radio and they are just DRLs so no biggie.
