![]() Also, I still have not-so-fond memories of the late 80's when people were bolting chrome bits on their engines, cherry bomb (glass pack) mufflers, 275/55 15's in the back and 205/75 15's in the front. This would make these 250whp, 4000lbs BEASTS shiny, loud, and the tail-end high in the air! It was LAME! Then there came the mini-truck craze in the early 90's. Mazdas, Toyotas, and Nissans mostly. Lowered to the ground with 185/50 13's wrapped around 13x7 gold, wire-spoked rims. I think this spawned the "import movement". Also LAME! By the late 90's the "import movement" was in full swing. Remember the coffee can megaphones on the back of every Honda on the road? There were neon lights, fake NAAAWS bottles, black-painted rims, cut springs, and fire extinguishers mounted to the A-Pillars of every mom's Accord! Still LAME! (I know it sounds like I'm picking on the Honda crowd... I'm not! Its just you guys honestly were the FIRST ricers.) I'm sure in 10 more years, the Hellaflush crowd will be looked upon with as much contempt as all the other "movements" in the past. Scott

So, courtesy of @KSC....
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29895 This guy now has two threads he can enjoy. Alright, @SLICVIC, you explained how things worked for Hellaflush, explain how this is done without risking life and limb. Is there even a name for this trend? "Non-thinking" or something like that? Annnnnnd....GO!

My hate towards the hellaflush scene is safety.. Maybe.. Just maybe slicvic car is done as properly as can be.. But as a auto tech I've seen way way way to many that are not safe.. Welded subframes because they've already been cracked, or welded together because they have all ready been worn through dragging.. I got into mini trucks and big bodied suv's, we had blocks to drag, and only was that low parking or at shows or the local spot.. Not driving down the road daily, stopping at tracks and dips and everything else that puts others in danger.. Right the guy behind you should be paying attention, but when your cruising down the street at 45 and some douche with his shit so low can't make it over the tracks, it backs up everyone, and in cases someone isn't paying attention, and then brakes locked up and the potential for a accident is there, just because this guy wants to look cool.. It's a joke.. Lower you car, but make it practical, and why the fuck would you ever drive around thinking it looks cool for the steering wheel to be hanging out the door... Also I saw that Facebook meme, and that guy in the civic telling everyone that he could drive circles around everybody hahaha was funny |

I'm in no way defending his actions nor am I trying to flame him. I'm just stating I know who it is. He's certainly not a friend but we in this area know him. And I would bet that a majority of us agree that this is a very stupid and reckless thing to do. On that same note we will also expect him not to really care what we think or heed or words of wisdom and rational. We were all young once and thought we knew everything. We all did things that were dumb and could even be considered reckless. I just hope that people learn and if not darwinism kicks in and protects the rest of us. that was definitely his steering wheel and only means of control out the window. helladumb Last edited by ftc~brz; 04-23-2013 at 06:53 PM. |

General Sections on car forums pretty much used for flaming others, inciting the mob, poking fun at people with poor spelling/grammar, and other nonsense. I thought everyone knew this... Scott

Not only are these f'ing idiots endangering themselves and everyone around them but they are giving all of us a bad name.
I can deal with fart cans, neon, hellflush, stanced, -5 degrees negative camber, 19 and 20 inch wheels on tiny cars etc. But if I ever see crap like this on a public highway I will call the cops myself, take photos and stay with the guy until the arrest is made. Then I will appear in court to testify against him. Stupid deserves no respect.

The moral of the story is... people are hating because of the lack of common sense and safety this person has when he takes off his steering wheel when driving. We have our opinions, for example; I can't stand Hellaflush, Stancenation etc but everyone has a preference. I like driving my car and doing competitive driving. People like taking 1 million photos of their negative camber that is absolutely non functional or driving with no steering wheel. So let them and just hope they don't hurt anyone in the process.
