I bet you know nothing about me.

It's Tim and Eric awesome show, great job. I've watched the show, seen the movie, fav. char is Dr. Steve Brule (aka drunk John C Reilly).

I'm not a fan of removing your wheel while driving. But the level of hate for anything that doesn't conform to a narrow view of what is "normal" in a car culture that is ever evolving just seems silly to me.

Edit: My point was that the level of mock disgust with car culture has gotten to the level where even choosing the wrong color now puts "elites" opinion of you at the very bottom of the ladder.

I don't understand how someone with such questionable judgment and intelligence can afford a nearly 30k car or find a bank willing to finance it. Maybe stupid offspring of intelligent parents who pay for the car.

I'm going to go with keeping your steering wheel attached and your car safe and driveable as "normal."

This is the SAME argument that pedophiles use.

I should have clarified that I was talking about the pink wheel photo. Taking off your wheel while driving is stupid.

Unless you REALLY want to get into discussing the benefit of societal "norms" for good of a populous in which I would be happy to do so in the off-topic section.

Scott

FWIW,
I just thought I would qualify my earlier statement and remind you I meant no offense. I mentioned that because this is a common straw-man argument that is commonly used when a person through their actions or behavior, demonstrates a complete disregard for the good of society. Being "different" is good and it is the precursor to innovation but, being "different" just for the sake of being "different" is often counterproductive and can elicit disdain from one's peers.

My experience has shown me that while many people prefer to make statements such as "I don't care, accept me or whatever" really DO car what others think, but like the attention they get from their deviant behavior they are unwilling to change no matter what the cost to themselves or their relationships.

I don't usually debate anything but cars on the internet, because I don't care too much either way, but a good debate on social norms and their differences between cultures and their relationship to a healthy society would always be a good talk. :happy0180:

That said, I'm in a trailer at a limestone plant in Gary, IN waiting for the kiln to fire back up so I can finish commissioning my equipment and leave so I don't have to much time to debate.

Side note: I think that photo IS the rocket bunny car, yes?

As if the hellaflush thread wasn't shitting things up enough, now we have this YOLO artistic statement of driving without a steering wheel.

Let me predict the next fad: covering the windshield completely with 1% tint, putting on a pair of sunglasses and relying on cellphone directions in order to drive. They will call it "Zero Visibility swag"

Am I the only one seeing this isn't the stock wheel? I really hope he is bullshitting us, for his own safety and the safety of others.

I think most of us can see that. I can also see someone who wants to play this game putting an after market NASCAR type quick release wheel on his car. It would be pretty hard to do this with a stock wheel.

Why are you asking me? I don't know?? lol.

I was just saying I know someone who had rolling shots done going like a mile an hour in a parking lot, but he had his wheel in tact. I was saying it can be done without being a complete idiot and on a highway.
