I wonder were FR-S Matt went, it's so sad to see him go.

Sorry I know...no feeding the trolls! I just had to though. I was hoping this would bring him out from under his old stone bridge, he is so very delightful.

Congrats to all the SA TX peeps for putting it down this weekend. Sorry I was MIA as usual.

You get a/f ratio done with the dyno? If the gains are coming from leaning it out that advantage will disappear with a tune.

The TRD intake comes with an oiled cotton-gauze filter, correct? That's the one thing stopping me from buying this intake. Oiled filters don't tend to filter as well as paper filters from what I've read and heard online.

I got mine off ebay, it was actually sold by a Toyota dealer local to me, good price. I'm completely happy with the intake and didn't really care about the numbers when I bought it. But, nice to know it actually adds a few numbers. The best part of the intake to me; it deleted the stupid sound tube assembly and it looks good. Also, a plus being CARB legal for us living in occupied America.

Fixed. Not all states are as strict as yours. The state in which I live doesn't even have a left-lane-is-for-passing law but sometimes I wonder if they mandate stupidity with the way people drive around here.

LOL.. True, thanks. I use to live in NC before I got out of the Army. Sometimes I wonder why the heck I moved back to CA....

As for the sound, I haven't really noticed a distinct "Intake" sound per se, but the engine sound is much clearer or just different without the sound tube. All in a good way, nothing bad or annoying.

TRD Intake ! CAI ?!

Frs Matt is everything that is wrong with these forums... Nothing but hate for everything they don't have. Unfortunately the Internet gives weak punks a voice.

I reported his offensive post (which has been deleted) that caused his ban. Nothing personal to him and not asking us to be forum nazis but if we keep letting vulgarity fly (which does happen), the offenders get too comfortable and quality of this forum deteriorates. Comes with the territory having a huge diversity of members. Be proactive in keeping offenders in check and give'em hell. Cheers.
