Texas has no Law, per se, on HID lamps (use or aiming) BUT..... SEMA put out an article explaining why HID conversion are in violation of Federal law. Now for the boring part:

Quote:
Under FMVSS No. 108’s Section S7.7 (Replaceable light
sources), each replaceable light source for headlamps must be designed to conform to the
dimensions and electrical specifications for the headlamp source it is intended to replace. For
example, if an HID kit is marketed as replacing an H1 light source, then it must match the H1’s
wire coil filament size and location, the electrical connector size and location, and the ballast
design for use with an H1 light source (which is impossible since there is no ballast).
Basically saying that if the car didn't come with HID, then you can't retrofit or convert. it goes on to say that even the company that imports the kit is subject to fine...blah blah blah....BUT who is gonna know, really??? If it works, It works. If someone says something, tell em its factory. But like a Cop buddy of mine said "I don't know if it's illegal???" he's been on Dallas PD for 12-13 years......

But to Answer your Question, Texas Has NO law regarding the HID's you want to put in or already have in your car. Just aim them and be happy...

It's the lights actually warming up. OEM HIDs do this too.

None of the photos in this write up actually show up, and it says server error when I try to download them to view separately. Just a bunch of broken download windows.

Hmm question about these HIDS:
@ HIDmasters.com it comes with a free SMD LED bulb pair. What is this and what size should I get to make use of it? (31, 36, 39, 41mm or T-10/194)?

and @ ddmtuning.com what is the extra HID harness and error eliminator? Do I need these?

Some one PLEASE post a pic on whats the proper way to plug those prongs on the stock harness.. A friend gave me an HID kit that did not come with the adaptor and I dont want to mess anything up. Do people simply plug the prongs in and tape it up with electrical tape? Thanks in advance for replies! The kit in this vid comes with the adaptor. Does anyone know where can one get just the adaptor for a good price?
