UK Spec...

From What Car's article today it seems like the GT86 is going to come fully loaded:

Quote:
Cars will come to the UK in one spec only. A disappointing automatic gearbox (a six-speed manual comes as standard) will be the only option. Toyota has not yet finalised the specification, but says it will be fully loaded, with equipment including leather seats and satellite-navigation.
Leather seats (heated) and navi are fine and probably account for the high price being bandied around, but the pre production model I had a look around yesterday had cruise control, which isn't really needed in a car designed with the main aim of driver pleasure...

That I why I though over all these days and finally decided to get base trim if it comes: no radio, no A/C, no heated seats,...

I havent spoken to the guys from Toyota GB yet but i wouldnt have thought that was true and is just speculation.

From what i gather talking to the Japanese nothing is finalized with regards to price/spec as yet.

I'll wait for the official press release from TGB.

Problem is i dont want any of this kit. I want a basic car with Power Steering. I dont want anything else. I dont want any rear seats even!

The car Toyota GB had to show all their dealers was fully loaded, but like you say until Toyota GB announce it we can't be sure of anything.

I'm sure that there will be imports available too.

It sounds like my poverty spec MX5 is what you need...

No way they release without A/c unless it's fully caged from the factory model. Also subaru learned the no stereo lesson with the sti.
