For bike helmets it starts at about 100. Just do a google search for SNELL 2000 or 2010 or SA helmet and you should have some come up. You can also see with the vendors here about which helmets they sell.

If you're buying a helmet, get a recently certified helmet, 2005 or 2010 as you'll be able to use it longer, and it'll be a good investment.

Check out Werks II Motorsports in Burbank. They have a variety of racing gear from suits, gloves, shoes, helmets etc in stock and you can try them on to make sure that they fit perfectly.

It's just a start of something very dear to what I have done in the past, that is to host novice level car control clinics... In 2000 we did "Drift Day" (tm), and now, with a bit more variety added to the exercises as I reformulated the idea and event content.
