18x9 or 18x9.5 is ok as long as it's a forged light weight rim, or rpf1s

People don't recommend 18x9 or 18x9.5 because they are generally very heavy, >22 lbs, which can decrease the performance a lot.

But if you get light weight rims, it would be ok. 18x9.5 TE37s weight around 17 or 18 lbs IIRC. So in that case, it's actually lighter than a lot of the 17s in the market like rota, xxr, tsw.

Are you on stock suspension? I was told that 9's couldn't fit in the front without coilovers.

depends on your offset, if you have something like +45 then it probably won't fit

i wont be going with something heavier then stock, i had rpf1's on my previous setup and was originally going to use those but unfortunately the bolt pattern is 5x114 so they wont fit. rpf1s are also played out imo. i am leaning towards the gramlights 57DR, which also seem to be a popular choice on these cars. you are running the same suspension set up ill be running on my car, i already have the RCE's the konis will be next. im liking the weds tn105, the te37s are nice as well. too many decisions!!!

IMO, skip the gram lights as they are not exactly "light".

I would choose between te37 and tc105. If you can soak up the beans for TE37 then go for it. If not then go with 17x9 tc105s.

That was my selection when I ordered rims.

im thinkimg a +35 or +38 offset, dont want the wheels to be sunken or poking, just want the hella flush look!!! i really want to avoid the poke, dont want shit off the tires hitting the side of my car.

Yea those offset should be safe for 9 or 9.5 wheels. I would do 35 in a 9 wheel and 38-40 for a 9.5 wheel

If I go with 17x9 +35 square..that is no need to lower the car ..right? I can just stay with stock suspension?
