no shortage!.people around here are "more" interested in practicality,
and the frs/brz is wanting in this critical area,so there are quite a few just sitting even now with the weather breaking.

this is ''dead nuts" accurate! all wheel drive in new england is super popular
so the brz/frs goes beggin'. the cars are lined up like ten pins, and a ton of swappin' is goin' on to warm weather states. remember, allocation is king.cars HAVE to sell...just sayin'

Just makes me even happier that I bought this car at MSRP back in October of 2012. Being in the south it worked out better to buy at MSRP than to fly far northeast and have to drive back just to save a thousand on sticker that would have been paid out to airfare and gas on short notice anyways....

What were they trying to sell it to you for?

Minus destination, taxes, and fees, I paid $27,053 with wheel locks and auto-dim mirror for the car itself. Came out to $31.5 OTD with a 7yr/100k Subaru Gold Plus warranty.
I didn't even bargain hah! I was going to pay them their advertised price and they were OK with that. I'm still working out financing and deciding on trading in my car though.

Great deal though, that's the car I would have gotten (Black or Silver Limited Auto)

I love how this thread has turned into a "Look I am bragging about how great a deal I got" thread.

Considering that some people paid $5k+ in pure markup to have the car I don't think it's a bad thing to be proud that you got the car for it's advertised price.

Drove 10 hours round trip, beat them down on the BS $3100 - sharpie hand written mark up crap... then my wife added every F-ing warranty they offered. I really don't know and don't want to know what the final price was.
We tend to keep our cars forever so she went crazy with the protection, Its still a sore subject today after 5 months. lol.

I'm hoping to find a deal like this somewhere in the Midwest when I'm in the market for this car.

I believe that once the first year allotment is done and the new 2014's start being shipped, that the Northeast, Northern Midwest and Northwest dealers will only get BRZ's based on their sales of this particular model rather than being based on overall Subaru sales numbers. It is clearly obvious that this RWD BRZ will not sell as well in these areas as other AWD models. I would be surprised if future BRZ's are not allocated to the areas where this model sells the best rather than to dealers that traditionally sell lots of AWD Subaru's. As for Toyota (Scion) I would assume they will do the same, but I don't think they shipped as large a percentage of cars to those areas as Subaru did.
