lol that would be ok but i think that there would be emission problems and all. I mean for a new car you wouldnt have to worry for years but id rather not have to deal with it you know? lol[/QUOTE]

My fault I was only talking about noise. Not sure about emissions..... now I'm curious

I think.... My opinion... On these cars, the side plate is ugly as shit.. It looks good on a evo, but it sits pretty flush on them.. Our cars have that curve and just doesn't look right.. I'd drill big ass holes before I did a side mount.. That said.. I run no plate at all, I did get popped by CHP once but they wrote a fix it ticket for the tint and only meantioned the plate as reason for pulling me over.. When the fact is, they pulling everyone over late night because of a really bad accident involving the chief son street racing and almost losing his life..

Hid bulbs that are to blue, pulled over, loud exhaust, pulled over.. Car to low, or truck to high... Pulled over.. It was crazy to drive after midnight for awhile in Barstow

I think my car looks just fine with the offset. I got the Grimmspeed offset and I have it positioned at a good angle with the car. I got pulled over the other day though because the cop said I needed a front plate. I told him it was up there and made him look stupid. Anyways, to each their own, I love mine and when I move to a different state that doesnt require a front plate, I will not have any holes drilled in the bumper. I have an extra $3 tow hook door that I did not drill out for the offset.

Tow hook all the way. So side profile.

If WA state allowed no front plates then I'd take the front plates off in a heartbeat.

lol should take a look into it, because when time comes for a Smog check, a header back shouldnt be passing lol

In Wisconsin the law is in effect so that its easier for state patrol to bounce radar off of, side mount tow hook plates don't help them any but are still legal. And a state cop will pull you over in a heartbeat without a front plate every time. The way I see it, side mount is the only way to go.

thats like the same thing with cali, we have traffic cameras that read license plates too -_- and i know police cars have cameras on the top of their rear view mirror that reads license numbers and all which brings up your history.

I fought the law and I won............

I live in Texas and will never put a front plate on even though it is the law. Lived in Northern Virginia (DC suburbs) for years and never had a front plate on any of my cars even though it was the law and was never hassled about it. One officer noticed it, but I just told them that the parts were on order as I bought the car out of state, and he just said that I should try to get the parts as soon as I could. This car (BRZ or FR-S) deserves to have a clean front nose......

I modified the original so when i run my offset, there is no gaping hole where the bar goes. Then i have a spare one in case i move to a state where front plates are not a requirement and remove this one with the hole and replace the one without
