BRZ License Plate location

I'm not sure if there is a thread like this yet but I was wondering what people would prefer. Do you put your license plate in the middle or use the tow hook to put your license plate? I know most people probably don't even use their license plate in the front lol but this is for those who do or where you would put it.

Examples in case ^^

Feel free to post what you think or maybe stories of you and your front license plate lol Hope this thread is interesting lol :respekt:

I will never run with front plate, I have my plate attached to passenger sun visor. But center would be my choice if I HAD to make a choice.

Kinda!!! LOL. CT law says you need to run front plate but doesn't say where you have to put it. To be honest I don't even flip visor down 99% of the time. I figure if they pull me over I will put it down then and say sorry you didn't see it!!!

I created a custom license plate mount with L brackets to mount the plate at a slight rake on the bottom the BRZ mustache. The license plate is centered and sits in the space between the bottom of the mustache and the top of the front lip. This does however block more of the airflow to the radiator since it sits lower covering the vent slats. I did the same on my NSX and have never had any problems.

I just could not bear the thought of drilling 2 huge holes into the front of the mustache. At least with this method, if I remove the front plate, you will not see the drill holes unless you crouch down to look. I took the mount off for now as I'm still waiting for my plates, so I'll try and take a photo when I get them.

Why do people mount the front plate on the side? Either center it or no front plate at all.

I put mines in the front center, I didn't drill holes on mine though, I just used properly prepped 3M double sided tape to hold it together.

Would prefer not to have one at all, but I think it looks weird when it's offset to one side or the other. I will either mount it in the stock location or buy one of those motorized hide-away license plate brackets:
