I started out with the tow hook mount but didn't like the off-center look. I went to a center mounted solution that doesn't require big drill holes on the front of the bumper. It still requires two tiny ones beneath it though, but you'll never see it.

I just mounted mine in the center. Eff it, if I want to remove it I'll just plastidip or vinyl the front.

This is the best picture I could find, but basically you must clean off the surface area and make sure that it is completely clean with zero dirt or debris or bugs etc. Then you prefit and use a washable marker to mark where you want your license plate holder to be.

Then you heat up one side of the double sided 3M tape and then you stick it on the two area that is circled in red in the picture below. Then you just take off the other sticky side of the 3M tape and then you heat it up and then bond it to the bumper. Once it bonds to the bumper do not attempt to take it off and put it back on because it will not stick, if you do that then you will have to do it all over again.

Note: This photo is for illustration purposes only, you DO NOT have to drill your bumper

Front license plate is not required in Arizona, which is nice.

Back when I lived in Oregon I wasn't running a front plate. I was pulled over once for a different reason and the cop didn't even mention the missing front plate...

With my vote, the count is now 6-6-6 for this poll. So I guess the devil made me do it?

I voted for side plate though. That's how I have it now because I don't want to drill holes or give the cops any more reasons to pull me over. Plus you can tell someone who mods their car and will wave back based on side mounted plate usually.

but yeah i think thats what most side mounted license plate associate with. Mods, but in a sense, they can look nice too, on certain cars. I think on Evo x the side profile is SUPER nice lol

Yeah, wasn't a side mounted front plate standard on certain Evo's? Or all Evo's to prevent the intercooler getting blocked?

I looked at CT DMV website and it doesn't say where front plate has to be. So my "ghetto" set-up is technically legal!!!!!!!!

Ditto that. I would rather have a front plate mounted, but since I need to, I'd have it centered. I just don't like the look of an off-centered plate.

Thanks for the image and directions. I was going to use double-sided 3M tape, too, but I didn't think to heat it up. I will definitely do that when I tape mine on this weekend.

that actually looks really nice lol, kinda weird if you were sitting on the passenger seat but it's really nice compared to being on the outside xD
