I voted BRZ because I'm on a bias forum about the BRZ. done.

The concept at the NY Auto Show for the 2015 WRX looked awesome, I'm hoping this is just another test mule.
I'd go for a potential 2014 BRZ STI though :P |

Used to have an 09 STI, now have a 13 FR-S. No regrets. The power was nice, but for me, lightweight and RWD is more fun.

They would have to somehow make the WRX weigh less than 3,200lbs and/or make the interior a much nicer place to be than the current WRX. Not likely for both of those things to happen.

My gut feeling is that the BRZ (STI) will remain RWD, while the WRX/ WRX STI will remain AWD, otherwise the markets for both cars would get even closer.

I guess I'm in the opposite camp as most here...for a daily driver, I'd rather have the AWD than the RWD. I'd even rather have a more upright "coupe" than the low BRZ (I'm 43 and, sorry to say, getting in and out of the BRZ is tiresome at times). But for sure I like the "feel" of the BRZ and love it's light weight and "tossability". That's why I say all it would take is for Subaru to make the WRX in a smaller coupe and I'd jump all over it.

well, will the 2014 WRX still be competitive in price with the BRZ? if it's jumps in price then I'll have to go with BRZ
As it has been confirmed that the WRX won't be offered in a wagon form, I count that as a strike against it but not a big one. I do love AWD and turbo but it's not a deal breaker for me The BRZ appeals to me because of what it was built to do. small car, small power, agile as all hell. and all you have to do is look at the WRX's name to see why it appeals to me, World Rally X-cross It was built to handle on and off the road; a true purpose-built machine. overall I think I'll still go for the BRZ, as I'm into nice drives rather than pushing the car at every chance I get. /2 cents

it's not going to be offered in hatchback anymore?! D: but I agree with you, I prefer the nicer drive and the fact that you can floor it up to the speed limit and hear the engine or exhaust that you have on it. It's nice to hear an engine rev up

I can truely say that i would choose the brz (as an frs owner) because it really teaches the driver to become great at drifting, and handling. I really like the wrx and i even considered getting one but i seen quite a few around where i live, and with the extra money saved, i can make the brz look even sicker.
