I'd hold off on AppRadio2, AppRadio3 will be coming out in a couple months. Here's a preview video, although they only really talk about the iPhone side of things in this:

Im pretty sure it will still be mainly geared towards the iphone.

They can gear it towards iPhone, but ARLiberator makes the use of it much better on Android.

I'd still go dedicated, but I can see the point of having a name brand

It should work on AppRadio3 as well, but we won't know for certain until someone tests.

We could assume, since I doubt pioneer would want to rewrite it's protocols and support two platforms... but yea, should wait until it's tested...

Not exactly thrilled about a $35 app.... Plus I don't think the x950bh (or any pioneer nav units) support multi touch. I already have a suction mount for my phone when I want to use Torque. I'll probably just save the money and get the 850bt.

multitouch as in things like pinch to zoom? My AVH's resistive screen does it, and i know the AppRadio does it.

The video said approximately 2 months, and that was from 2 weeks ago.

Ah sorry. Guess I should have watched it. The A2DP alone is reason enough to wait. But I dont know if I would want to spend however much it will cost.

It does?? How? I thought it only worked with capacitive screens? I only ask because the built in nav maps have zoom buttons, and I don't remember pinch working on the display model (850bt).

They said $350 in the video, not sure if that's street price or MSRP.

Yep. You can see it working here on an AVH model (resistive touchscreen) at the 37 second mark here:
