It sorta looks like an Evo right now maybe? But I think others are jumping way to quickly on the mule car. Doesn't anyone remember when Subaru used the Legacy as part of their mule car in the beginning for the BRZ?

Not test mule. This is camo'ed prototype. What underneath the camo is the real deal. Hopefully, STI version will have "power" to calm angry people who thought production version will look anything like the concept.

I remember looking at the pics of the GT86 test mules and thinking to myself how weak the car looks... I think the camo does a great job of hiding the lines of the car and will reserve judgement...

True. The lines are not probably far off from Impreza, but I have no doubt the car will look hot when it's de-camo'ed.

De camo or not.. The lines are not even close... The roof line isn't close, the fender vent isn't there.. The c pillar isn't close.. All the "coolness" of the concept, is ruined here.. Looks like a wrx with a nose job

To me, its likely running off the Impreza platform to test the running gear and styling updates. Considering the a,b,c pillar and taillamps look like they are the same as the current impreza. Why the camo? hide the some of the exterior updates that will be seen on the WRX.

The big indicator for me to come to this conclusion is that the WRX is suppose to be lower and wider than the current WRX, which is still wider than the current Impreza, and the pictures provided looks like its not any wider than the current impreza.

Basically your not looking at the real thing and I think everyone is getting trolled HARD.

Maybe.. I could see it.. I could also see Subaru making a facelift, instead of a whole new car.. Idk.. Guess time will tell

sorta doubtful considering Subaru had already made the nessesary steps to insure the WRX and Impreza platforms will be seperate from each other in the coming years. To go against that means the WRX concept was moot. and Thats not exactly a good corporate strategy to do turn around plans like that.

Here Ill share what were the obvious indicators (to me anyway).

What everyone is looking at is essentially a Impreza with a face lift that wants to pretend its a WRX.

IMO, the real WRX shell will appear later.
