I think the bulk of the owners are further west (Seattle and Portland). However last year's cruise was out to Raymond, WA.. which was fairly close to the ocean already, but not literally AT the ocean.

Perhaps we can do Mt. St.Helens or somewhere more biased towards the middle. Last year's meet started in Centralia, about mid-way between PDX and Seattle.

There can be many options. Really depends on what direction we want to go with this event. Seattle and Portland both have well known tuning shops, some of which may or may not accommodate our meets. We can also focus strictly on cruising, therein which we can then just choose a remote location to drive to and from.

I'm not sure about what routes there are in WA. But there are several cruising routes in OR. One that comes to mind would be driving around Mt.Hood from i84 to hwy 281/35 to hwy 26.

geographically, Yakima looks to be the almost-middle city between spokane, portland, and seattle.

according to google maps:

pdx to yakima: 186 mi / 3hrs 11 min
seattle to yakima: 142 mi / 2hrs 13 min
spokane to yakima: 203mi / 3hrs 1 min

Guys, since I started an intense remodel of my house, it looks like I'm just not going to have the time to plan this out. I can still contribute a scavenger hunt aspect to the event, but someone else is gonna have to take the reigns.

I get to drive my car further and enjoy it longer? Deal.

In all honesty though you guys pick a spot and I'll get the time off to be able to make it. Doesn't matter to me if I have to drive for a while.

do you still have contacts with scion corp? would be great to get some free food or goodies this year.
i'd be willing to organize some of the event, but i don't have friends in high places.. so hookups would be few and far between. i know mr.hatch knows a lot of people, but he's getting his wedding together. Would be nice to have a place like PRE Racing do dyno shootout for the event, given that some people will be FI by then.

last year we met up in centralia for some pizza provided by scion then a photo op, then we drove westward out to raymond ending with a prize raffle.

like i've mentioned before, i don't know what direction people want to go with this event. it could become something very legit or just something that remains casual. obviously nothing can be done FREE without the help and support of sponsors as well as some $$$ from attendees.

If you get a list of sponsors to contact send them my way as I'd like to do it for the PDX to the beach camping drive as well.
