Opti coat questions
Hi,
I am really new to the country and to the car club, but i love to take care of my Firestorm. just completed a month and 1000miles on the car today. I have been reading that most people get opti coat done on their cars, i wanted to know if its worth it ? it costs 70$ plus application by a professional ! should i get it or is there something better that i should be looking at ? Would appreciate the help. |

There's a ton of people on here who got opti-coats.
The general consensus is that they're definitely worth it. It'll make cleaning much easier and look waxed without having to do it every 6 months. Keep in mind though that it's not a clear bra and is still prone to dents and scratches but it'll still protect your pint a bit. After a number of years, you may start to get swirling (from how it's applied) as the opticoat slowly things out but is easy to fix by getting it opti-coated again. If you don't have the time (or lazy) to wax your car, opti-coat is a great alternative to keep your car looking sharp. I personally don't have an opti-coat because I prefer to wax my car (and have the time). Welcome to the forums! Hope to see you around and maybe at one of the meets.

Nice bro, did you tell him I sent you? I'm bringing my BRZ there this Monday, he is keeping it overnight to fix my curb rash.
