Alarm?

So I'm getting paranoid about people trying to take the car with the mods that I have invested into it. Given that it's pretty low key, I still am worried. So, in hopes of some feedback as well as experiences, here is my question. Anyone have any experiences with an aftemarket alarm on their frs? I am looking at the viper 5704. Just looking for some friendly feedback. Thanks guys.

My passenger car window got smashed into last Friday while I was at my friend's bar. Didn't look like they stole anything, but my car has the factory horn going off acting like an alarm which I guess scared the thief away. If i had one of those alarm systems that alerts you via the controller that something is wrong, things may have ended differently.

Might also want to consider a secondary battery backup for the alarm...

To anyone w/ keyless start. Unfortunately there is not an aftermarket remote starter system for you. Ive been bugging the Autotech's at BestBuy and its only compatible w/ traditional key FRS/BRZ. FYI the 5704 is a great system I know many ppl w/ that system and all are very happy.

An alternative cheaper way of keeping crooks away from your car is by tinting your windows. Idk so far nothing bad has happen to my car. (I sometimes park in the city whenever i'm there)
