Care to enlighten me?

I know fbm stg1 is getting 277, are those kits getting 300whp on 93 with some more PSI perhaps?

I'm not too familiar with the turbos. Although I know the hks supercharger is getting 300whp with 93 (Evasive tuned).

Any of the turbo kits can hit 300 whp on 93 octane with a good tune. The Full Blown and AVO have dynos showing that.

FBM from their Stg 1 thread:

AVO stg 1+, with supporting fuel to crank PSI up to 10

I don't remember seeing the HKS make 300 whp on 93. Last I checked they were tuning with race gas.

Heck, they could probably ruin the top and bottom with a bad design. Most of twin-scroll's benefits, as far as I know, come from exhaust scavenging, which is damn hard to design for.

It seems you have the knowledge to have one custom built. Problem solved..

Evasive was running MS109, not 93.

FBM kits are showing over 300 whp on 91 octane on the base 8.5 psi (10 psi for automatics). Where are you getting your numbers?

AVO makes near 300 whp on 92 octane at 10 psi

HKS supercharger makes 210-220 whp on pump fuel and 300 whp on race gas and 13psi.

I think he was referencing the numbers I put down on my Full Blown kit. I was having issues north of 5500 RPM, and my car didn't make the numbers the other Full Blown kits make.

If you just want a slight increase in power, intake, headers, exhaust, tune, and lightening will make a much cheaper solution. If you want a lot of low-end power, a positive displacement supercharger does the job. If you want linear power, Vortech supercharging looks like the ticket. For big power, turbo is the way to go. It is possible to get low-end power with a turbo, but a supercharger is much easier.

There's a big difference between knowing generally what to do (free), specifically what to do (takes research and expertise), and actually doing it (expensive). I'm at step 1 of those 3.

It's a lot of R&D (planning followed by trial and error) to get a twinscroll working like a top, so anybody who does it would have to justify it by selling kits or having money to burn. As I said, PTuning knows where to put the turbo. Now they just have to do the R&D for a successful twinscroll then take all of our money.

Of course all the other companies would soon copy the cams, turbo, AR, and so on, but there would be a window of opportunity to make some serious cash.

@Sportsguy83 wow, thanks! That's very impressive & good to hear.

All the other turbos get rid of the cat in the header, which makes this the only (possible) option if I want to hope to get this to pass smog though. But that's pretty exciting stuff, I really like FBM's kit that curve looks amazing.
