Any of the turbo kits can hit 300 whp on 93 octane with a good tune. The Full Blown and AVO have dynos showing that.

I don't remember seeing the HKS make 300 whp on 93. Last I checked they were tuning with race gas.

I think he was referencing the numbers I put down on my Full Blown kit. I was having issues north of 5500 RPM, and my car didn't make the numbers the other Full Blown kits make.

If you just want a slight increase in power, intake, headers, exhaust, tune, and lightening will make a much cheaper solution. If you want a lot of low-end power, a positive displacement supercharger does the job. If you want linear power, Vortech supercharging looks like the ticket. For big power, turbo is the way to go. It is possible to get low-end power with a turbo, but a supercharger is much easier.

It's a lot of R&D (planning followed by trial and error) to get a twinscroll working like a top, so anybody who does it would have to justify it by selling kits or having money to burn. As I said, PTuning knows where to put the turbo. Now they just have to do the R&D for a successful twinscroll then take all of our money. Of course all the other companies would soon copy the cams, turbo, AR, and so on, but there would be a window of opportunity to make some serious cash. |

@Sportsguy83 wow, thanks! That's very impressive & good to hear.
All the other turbos get rid of the cat in the header, which makes this the only (possible) option if I want to hope to get this to pass smog though. But that's pretty exciting stuff, I really like FBM's kit that curve looks amazing. |
