Oem audio called and seemed very concerned about my issue. They wanted to make sure the new box arrived and that everything checked out. They said we will later arrange for pick up of the bad one. They wanted me to call or text once I inspected the new one in case of any issues.

A+ in my book, good customer service is hard to find nowadays.

If all companies took care of their customers like they do, I'd be a much happier person.

New box looks good. Looks like they added screws to the back bracket which holds the amps on. Which is what I was going to do if the new box didnt get here in time.

They said Reference would come out this summer around july, they also said they would offer a upgrade kit to go from 400 to reference.

Im looking at doing the reference with some acoustic damping after boost.

I believe the reference includes replacement speakers and the dsp retuned accordingly.

that looks hella easy to install -- question, where does the wiring harness come from to install the sub -- that's what i'm worried about. it doesn't look like there's and cables running loose in the trunk, but I haven't really gone through it yet.

Here is the install video.

The new cable runs from the stereo up the driver side to the stock amp. From there it crosses over under the floor mat in the trunk to the sub location.
