Based on the way the wing is angled an the concave shape, I would assume that the flow over the top of the wing separates at the leading edge and therefore generates almost no force on the top surface.
The bottom surface probably does generate some lift though. I am making this assumption based on the fact that it looks like the leading edge and trailing edge are the same height and that the wing has convex section between them.

My question is why not install it correctly or at the very least angle its towards the direction of flow correctly? Its whatever though, I would expect to see a lot of FR-S's looking like this in then next 10-15 years.

yeah it wouldn't create lift the way an airplane wing does, instead it would create a massive amount of drag. this equates to putting a large airbrake on the back of your car.
