Nice MR2 P! Glad you kept the other one tho...because racecar. You should bring that one around more often...because more racecar than the twins.

yeah both cars were great on the track but one was old and busted and the other was new and shiny. So I had to sell one... always wanted to own one again someday, right up until I got the BRZ.

that's at Thunderhill. I had a dinged up 92 SW20, and my friend had a 91 240SX with a SR20DET redtop transplant, riced out with Skyline tails and big wing. We called it our "Beater Battle" haha.

Hmmn now I'm getting nostalgic. gonna go fire up GT5 and drive the ol' SW20 for a little bit.

We should race online in GT5 sometime. What kind of wheel do you have?

That's a SUPER heavy wheel for 17s do not get. I know it's cheap but that's way to heavy.

Even rota has some 17x9 in the 18lbs range (titan and DPT) and that's an inch wider.

9" wheels fit so easy on this car might as well!

9" wide sounds scary. Do I run 235/45/17 on those?

Edit: Damn, those DPTs look pretty good in bronze:

For sure, my username is, you guessed it, PMok.
I use an old school Driving Force Pro from my PS2 GT4 days.

You could. 245/40/17 is prime size. It actaully matches the stock 215/45/17 in height almost exactly. Just waaay wider.

Both my AutoX and DD set-ups are 17x9 (DD et42 autoX et45) with 245/40/17.

If you aren't on coils you just have to watch spring clearance on the inside.

BUT I know 17x9 et42 with 245/40/17 will fit with stock or lowering spring because I did it stock for a while before the coils.

Plus wheels like Grids or whatever look much more concave at 9" width so there are some aesthetics to gain. Same with my RPF1s with straight spokes.
