Why do people think this is a short ram intake? It doesn't draw air from the engine bay. It draws air from the stock location, in front of the radiator support, just like all the other "CAI" aftermarket intakes out there.

I meant short ram because the filter sits inside the engine bay and not like Perrin, AMR, FA20 which sits outside in the bumper

You guys think Subaru would hassle me much on potential warranty issues if I were to get a TRD branded intake, or treat it as factory compliant like on an FR-S?

In for results.
Injen = sucks, crappy design takes in hot air from engine bay Perrin = have to take off bumper and I dont want to do that aFe = after reading about the exhaust debacle I wont ever buy their products Not going to argue that this is the worst or best design just want to see if it yields any/decent gains; if so I will get one. |

He's talking about http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29831
Minus the low RPM extra gas needed, the aFe sounds pretty mean and isn't too bad. FYI, pulling the bumper for the Perrin isn't hard. |
