My front bumper is a mess after a year of DD duty, and the hood has a couple of chips too. I'll just get it repainted next year.

The nose of my last car (RSX) looks like it was sand blasted from DDing.
Allready the FRS is getting the treatment.
I drive mostly on NY expressways and thruways.

My plan is to replace the nose with a carbon fiber one unpainted (another reason I choose Asphalt). I almost did it to the RSX and im glad I didn't.

i luckily don't have anything (at least that i can see) yet. it's only a matter of time though as there's literally garbage flying around the streets on my way to work. i had to swerve around a huge box that was laying flat on the ground and got picked up in the wind and opened up right in line with my hood/windshield. i need to find a job in a better neighborhood lol

12k miles and 7 months of driving and I already have a bunch, I'm kicking myself for not spending the 1k on the clear bra I got quoted for. That was the entire front coverage (bumper, hood, fender, A pillars, and mirrors).

I didn't! It doesn't cover the entire area, only sections and its nto all that good. Honestly a waste of $1100. I can get the bumper painted twice for that price!

It's hard because the cars are so low that they're like right at the apex of rock throwing .

Clear bra is a good suggestion, or driving like a grandma.

No, it's not just you.

I traded in a Miata that had 38,000 miles on it and the front looked like it had been sand blasted (just a slight exaggeration). My FR-S has 8,000 miles and so far not a mark on it. My driving habits and where I drive haven't changed. I think luck has a lot to do with it but I sure can't knock the quality of paint that's been put on.

My mechanics son had the same 04 RSX. The nose on his car got the same sand blasting. He had it painted and within a year it was bad again! The cars were both black and from what ive read; Black Acura paint chips easily. Actually the ONLY cars ive ever owned that had exceptionally strong paint were Mercedes.

This was the entire surface area of the front, not a cookie cutter kit. There was literally no paint exposed from the front view aside from above the windshield I suppose. Also since I have chips in all those areas already I doubt I can get it repainted for close to that price unless I just want a Maaco respray
