Seconded. Us Californians are screwed. Imagine the rest of the US will be sipping some corn juice as well in due time.

Most gas stations have a pump separate from the others with the ethanol free.
Texas has no ethanol free gas unless you go far outside of town and I'm not driving 40 miles just to fill my tank.... That's just stupid.

I've seen people even get the crickets with ethanol free gas, just not as frequently as ones with ethanol. Not everyone can freely fill up with that kind of fuel.

Trust me, me and several hundred others are reading. Maybe you need to read about ethanol free gas availability at a state level.

Thirded. I'd burn an entire tank of gas before I would reach an ethanol free pump that catered to cars and not boats.

Seems to be quite available in Texas, and Georgia. Just so happens that not close to you two. Unfortunately I have read about it on a state level, but thanks for the suggestion.

Yeah, you have to get pretty far out of metro Atlanta to find puregas. The closest pumps to me are both dock-side pumps at a lake to the north, accessible only to boats.

So you're suggesting people drive out to BFE to fill their tanks? You're a god damn idiot. Obviously, you haven't read much if you look at where they are located at.

Before you tell everyone that they aren't reading and to go fill up with ethanol free gas, maybe you should take a class on demographics before jumping to retarded conclusions for people.

I am chill. I just don't like stupid people and you fit that area.

Dallas, Ft. Worth, San Antonio, Austin, Houston.... none on that list and those are the most populated cities in Texas.

Well I'm sorry FR-S Matt, you're right. I guess Texas doesn't do everything bigger. You would figure, auto-mechanics being a popular past time of the presently known red neck, that there would be an abundance of ethanol free stations. Apparently I'm wrong, and thank you for pointing that out. I'm glad you opened my eyes to this issue in such a mature manor.

My car has 13k miles on it, I've filled up every tank with ~10% ethanol fuel (there's no "pure" stations in my area in northern IL), and my dad can still beat up your dad.

Come at me, bro.

(On topic, anyone who says this noise is harmful to your car doesn't know a damn thing about engines and fuel.)

Fuel pump

I have 1500 miles on my car, and just took it into Toyota for this and they replaced my fuel pump for free under warranty. Toyota said there is nothing wrong with it but if you don't like the noise, they will replace it... Hope this helps.

Let us know if the crickets come back because most people who have had the fuel pump replaced got the crickets back after a few hundred miles
