My sister's boyfriend works for Revolution Brewery in Chicago. They are starting to sell in the surrounding states. Try any of their stuff if you can. Awesome.

Check out www.IDrinkGoodBeer.com if you're into the craft beer thing, it's a blog run by a friend of mine and they document a lot of trips to various breweries/pubs. He also puts together some cool interviews/brewing videos.
I have cut back on drinking significantly since the new year started, but most of the beer I have had recently has come from Carton Brewing. They are basically across the street from me so a growler costs about as much as a pint or 2 would at most bars ![]() Another favorite is Tröegs Nugget Nectar but it's pretty much out of season by now. |

I'm a big stout/porter/doppelbock drinker. If it's smooth and dark, pour me a glass!
I'll drink a Guinness from time to time but my personal favorites are the Samuel Smith Imperial and Oatmeal stouts, along with the Aventinus doppelbock.

I'm on a big Lagunitas kick right now. Heard good things about Hop Stoopid many moons ago and finally found some...went to get it the next day and it was gone. Picked up some Lucky 13.alt instead. Oh my god it's delicious.
Most an ale, pale ale, IPA, double IPA, black IPA, APA kind of guy. Though I enjoy a good porter every now and then. Stouts can be interesting, but are not really my taste. |

a couple good local breweries we've got done south right now are Southern Star, and Karbach. My go to beer is the bombshell blonde ale right now. And Karbach had probably one of the best seasonal christmas beers I have ever tasted this past year, Yule shoot your Eye Out.

Two of my favorite go-to beers:
![]() ![]() I like IPAs and pale ales quite a bit. Also like stronger stouts and porters with real body and taste. I also homebrew a little but not as often as I used to. RCE should have a craft beer night.... - Andy |

I think this is a rule we should adopt throughout the entire forum.
Pink = sarcasm.

My go to at home - Yuengling or Blue Moon.
My go to out - Above or Guiness. I'm a big fan of any lager, porter or stout. Not really a fan of IPA's. Pilsners are on a case by case basis. I'm not a snob and can really appreciate any beer. |
