I would rather have a 250ninja than half-ass a 600cc bike or go straight to a 600rr... you're paying for a 600cc bike to get worked by 250 ninjas. I know cuz I've owned both an RR and a 250. Same idea here... you want to pay for a car that should have more guts and complement it's great handling, that's fine, but don't say it's enough power... then I guess NO one will require any performance mods of any kind.

lmao now thats pretty funny. you'd have be a fat ass AND a dumb ass to get "worked" by a 250, and for the record i made sure i got every dollar worth of performance out of that bike and all i can still complain about is the notorious banana seat.
not every car has to be made to run to 60 in 5 seconds. its this whole class of cars for us ordinary folks who cant afford high end super cars. it includes the si, gti, and mx-5 among others. the people who complain about these cars arent meant to be driving them.
and no joke, my father drives this old, manual geo tracker that weighs basically 200lbs less than the 86, but with half the power. theres a special feeling you get when you redline that engine, and work your way up to 4th gear. and then you look down and see your only going 45, and your thinking... wtf? that was pretty fun for a slow ass car... THAT is what this car is about. its quick and nimble, and thats the point, nothing else

Blame those who pass doubt every time they see the name Scion. I use it as a stereotype killer...

Already passed it. You asked a question, just figured I would give you an actual answer other than "it's got enough power".

I don't want to put money on it, but I'm guessing a stock V6 will still take a stock tC, no offense, again... but it's probably true. Especially if we're talking newer camrys... I hear they're not slow (like my 96 was ;P). If we meet at Buttonwillow someday, I'll be giving it a go in my GT-R or my next new car... or even perhaps in a FR-S, WHO KNOWS?!

p.s., this can all be just bitterness because I hear the $25,000 number being thrown around... if it's somehow $22,000 or less... THROW EVERYTHING I SAID OUT THE WINDOW.
A few years back I believe was 2009 there was this El Toro event done by Morgan along with Taka's help in Irvine. Taka set up this 1 mile or so for the time trial. I think it was called Grip/Drift day in El Toro. Lots of people with all sorts of cars showed up. Yes, the fastest time of the day belonged to this white GT-R with some suspension mods and unknown threadwear tires. I was in my 86 20V with kumho v710's. I was 3rd for the day and about 4 seconds more than the GTR's time.

At end of the day, GTR went home with worn tires with steel cords out already and I went home with treads left for another day of fun. I guess what I'm trying to say is that choose the car you like and develop your driving skills to be an even better driver at the end of the day.

We can all go on the track one day and have a FRS challenge or something like the Honda's FF event with the Speedventures with its own regulations/restrictions.

Let's all drive with stock setup and see who's the winner! (At least for me with a limited $$)

And as comparing a stock Camry V6 VS. stock tC .....

@ Adam's Kart track ...... tC wins
@ Big track Willow ......... probably Camry wins
@ Streets of Willow ....... tC wins
@ Buttonwillow config #13 probably Camry because of the long straight aways
@ Laguna Seca ............. Camry
@ California Infield or the Oval competition tracks.... tC because of the turns, Camry will be gone on the long oval but tC will catch up and pass Camry on the turns.

Just my .2 I've seen what a tC can do on the track to embarrass Mustang GTs....... Toyota power!
