This is why you run a window switch, that's a silly reason to blow a motor and easily preventable.

On the other end though the torque #s are awesome from the 100 shot, knocks all of the available blower setups out of the park

Totally Agree!

I wish this kit made it to the hands of a responsible user before the guy that is disinterested enough to take the "let's see how much she can take" approach. Unfortunately, a quick glance at the end result of this thread will turn most users away from the notion of trying out the laughing gas. They'll see: Nitrous installed, good review, used on dyno, engine pops = stay away form nitrous.

No offense to OP, if that's your thing, thats your thing.

My kit should be here Wednesday, but I will not be able to use the spray until May when I can afford to replace my dying clutch. I don't really have any good dyno shops nearby, but I will post some videos of the car on the bottle.

I really hope to show people that this really is a viable option for much less than any other form of FI.

Well I bought the OP's kit from him so I will probably use his 65hp-ish shot to start. A buddy of mine with a good bit of n2o experience is going to help me with choosing jets from their since my mods are different than OP's.

Oh and jet for a 75 shot.

I ran nitrous on my personal vehicle for a few years. The torque you get from spray is awesome
Foresight, you have it

There is alot of info I cannot release at the moment for it will screw me if posted to early. But to update on the damage, no block damage, no piston damage, there was rocker float and the result was less than 1k fixed so dont think I bailed.

Also I have never done a nitrous car before so I will be learning from scratch basically, and will also try to prove how safe and reliable nitrous can be while showing that a newb can do it.

Although this could work out great for the one guy wanting to put that small light V8 (the one that is basically 2 hayabusa engines) into one of these cars... I'm sure he may be interested in a shell.

Any updates guys?

I'm very curious as to the results of fa20 + nitrous. I'm considering going e85 + nitrous 100/125 shot. My power goals ~300whp (still considering either nitrous, turbo, or s/c kinda on the fence at this point... Vortech looks great but damn is it pricey for whp/psi...)

I think with e85 + bolt ons + lightweight pulley/carbon fiber driveshaft + 125 shot I should easily hit that 300whp mark and be completely satisfied with off the bottle driving as well. And have one mean fire breathing beast when I flip that switch

Should be plenty safe too, with e85, new clutch, and fuel injectors. I don't see any problems as turbo guys are pushing this block well past 400whp with no problems. My main concern is too much torque too early for this block, so I'm looking to kick in the nitrous ~3000-4000rpm.

Wonder what this car will run at the 1/4 with 300whp nitrous shot... I'm hoping 12's but that might be a stretch (maybe with more grip). 13's should definitely be attainable.

EDIT: Also, if anybody wants to be a guinnea pig please run with a window switch. It saves everybody time & money that way...

Sorry I've been a little tight on money, but I should start installing around the end of May/Beginning of June. I want to get the drivetrain up to par first since my car is my only vehicle.

Dude, no rush just do it right! I'm just curious and impatient

If I had 5k sitting in my bank right now (to spend...) I'd probably do this tomorrow, but I have to wait until I get some funds as well. I don't think I'll be able to do any sort of forced induction until early next year

Damn I just wasted all this time reading this thread because I want to run nitrous but want to know if it will hold up after time. Window switch is basic! Can't believe that's the reason for boom.... Doesn't help me at all. Please someone if you run this setup, do it right. If I end up doing it next month I will post
